USA: The US Government narrowly missed defaulting on payments approving a debt plan and raising the debt ceiling with just hours to spare before the deadline passed. President Barack Obama signed the bill into legislation and then started partying to celebrate his 50th. International criticism came quickly, markets crashed, S&P downgraded the US credit rating from AAA to AA+ and the US economy faces further recession.

Translation:

Hur de hur hur
My default defying Souffle is ready just in time for my Birthday.
Ergh now I really have egg on my face.
Ah the bottom has fallen out of the markets,
and that sounds like the economy cracking up.
